Position: Internal Vice-President
Austin Sherman is a 2L who grew up in Coral Springs, Florida and attended the University of Florida for undergrad. In his time at UF, Austin has Served as the Judiciary Chairman and the Majority Party Leader for the UF Student Senate, The treasurer and chapter advisor for Sigma Nu fraternity, and Tapping Chairman for Florida Blue Key. Since starting law school Austin has served on the Law School College Council, is currently the Vice-President of Student Services for JMBA, and served as an Orientation Ambassador. This past summer Austin was employed as a summer associate for the General counsel of CSX Transportation. In Fall 2015 Austin Competed in the NY Bar Moot Court Competition where his team made it to the final four and won second best brief. His favorite part about being on the team is the priceless writing and oral advocacy skills he is learning, and the time spent making lifelong friends and connections. Austin’s goals for his position are to make the Maguire competition as successful as possible, improve team morale, and to make the internal operations of the team as efficient as possible. Austin is a die hard Gator fan who has high hopes for the future of the football program.

Favorite part about being on the moot court team: Getting to spend time with my some of my favorite people and being introduce to issues I would have never learned about were it not for a competition.
Fun Fact: Hoping I see snow for the first when we travel to NYC for competition!
